Church Wide Prayer & Fasting

TO : The Body of Lebanon Calvary Chapel

Gang,

In my spirit I sense as a church body the Lord is calling us as his church to humble ourselves before him, to spend a few days praying and fasting, to get our hearts in tune with the Lord and to hear from the Holy Spirit.

That we might be led by the Holy Spirit in prayer for the people in our church and in our neighborhoods and even ourselves to be set free from wickedness, oppression, heavy bondage and any yoke that is not the Lords. That we could see the Lord set people free by his spirit so we might know the right way for us and for our families.

Isaiah 58:6

"Is this not the fast that I have chosen:

To loose the bonds of wickedness,

To undo the heavy burdens,

To let the oppressed go free,

And that you break every yoke?

 

Ezra 8:21

Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions.

I am announcing on Sunday A Time of Prayer and Fasting as a church. We will begin this coming Thursday, January 3rd thru Saturday the 5th. We will be coming together as we fast to worship and pray at the Creekside at 6:15-7:30pm on Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings.

I encourage you to join together with the body for this special time as we seek the Lord. Maybe you can't fast all three days, but any time you can, whether it is a day or a meal please join us as we seek our Lord.
