July 19th Picnic

It was a BEAUTIFUL morning. Not too hot, not too cool. A wonderful service with great music (see the new pictures of our worship team) a great message on Samuel 16 (check out the web site for the messages you miss or want to hear again). Its always so good to have some great worship and learning time with your fellow Christians. After service...a great BBQ--you should have seen the desserts. I unfortunately didn't get there in time to get a shot of the full spread, but, lets just say, now one was hungry, and no one lacked for dessert. They were all SO yummy!! The kids enjoyed the bounce house~~there was time for prayer~~time for eating~~time to enjoy fellowship. How much better can it get??

Enjoy all the pictures. 98 of 149 were posted. (Some "open mouth" shots I declined to put on here!)

  1. Aside from the food, fun, fellowship and kicking the hacky-sack the most memorable activity took place when the kids bounce-house collapsed. You actually heard a mixture of sounds exuding over the church property from the fallen structure. Some kids yelled in fear and some laughed while saying, "Do it again!" What made it strangely funny though, adults had the same reaction. Some laughed and some hurried to save the day. All the kids came out unscathed for the most part, maybe a short-term bad memory but fine nonetheless.
So in retrospect, I guess it's a matter of perspective. Our loving Father has his eye on His children and nothing happens without his knowing about it. Sometimes He's quick and other times may seem slow to respond. But He is watching at all times. So what are you going to do when your bounce-house collapses?
