Campout at the Church Property
Camping on LCC Church Property...
About 8 families braved the night at the church property. Some brought tents... Others were accused of "cheating".....but camping is camping! Most of us did without electricity...we won't mention any names!
It was a great evening of fellowship with many coming out just for an evening of fun....kids hung out in the castle, played games, cooled off in the kiddie pool, played in the amazing on again/off again sprinkler, roasted HUGE marshmallows (thanks Sherry), worship around the fire with a guitar...nothing better!
Saturday brought refreshed kids out to play on a beautiful summer morning. Nothing like a dip in the grassy pool, and a run through the sprinkler before breakfast! Did you know that licorice made a great straw for your milk? Yummy, practical, and you gotta drink all your milk before you get the licorice!!
These guys were funny...both coming out of their trailers with snowmen coffee cups, khaki shorts, fireman shirts, sandals, and sunglasses...a sight to be seen!!
Jethro, oops, I mean Jeff, brought along one of his small pans to cook us all up some pancakes...awesome job Jeff...and your support team was super too! We certainly are interested in doing this again...maybe for two nights in a campground...as we'd hate to be serving breakfast, just prior to service on Sunday...hey, new ministry?!! Enjoy the slide show....and be sure to join us next time!
