Our day started at 10:30 meeting at the church property. Before we departed, Pastor Tom prayed with us, and we started off for Camp Dakota....girls in one van, guys in the other! After a few stops...19 Youth (21 before the night ended, as two more joined us after dinner) and 7 adult (at least in age) gathered at Camp for a few days of Worship, Fellowship & Fun.We started off with lunch, and settling in, then off everyone headed in similar directions, yet to do different activities. Some hit the remote control race cars, and others went Gold Panning....some did both!
David took a great ribbing at lunch, when he announced he had forgotten his deodorant....after enough ribbing, he purchased some at the store....and no one will share his "secret"!!
Kids also had some spending money for the store....they had a blast! Some chose fun souvenirs, others bought treats. Whatever it was, it was a fun thing to be able to do.
Ping Pong was a bit hit as well. The girls Yurt had a ping pong table right in the middle...they had a great time challenging one another. If I'm not mistaken, does Troy still hold the title???
After a full afternoon of fun, we settled down around the fire for a Dutch Oven Chili Dinner, and Root Beer Floats for dessert. 
We had an awesome worship service, led by Troy--and the kids (and adults) had a great time singing. No one wanted to stop singing! Chad shared the word with us....what a great message. Dillon shared his Testimony with us....what an amazing story. Thanks to Troy, Dillon & Chad for a great time in Worshipping our Lord!
After our worship & teaching time....it was time for some more fellowship & fun. Dillon & Ali (AKA Dilly & Allen) had a great game...Bet-A-Bite! The game was a box, with a concealed food time inside. By shaking the box, and feeling the weight, you decided before knowing what it was, how many bites it would take you to eat the item in the box. The choices were one, two or three bites. The fewer the bites, the more the points. The deal was that you had to eat it all in the amounts of bites you stated you would. The pictures show it all.... 
Day one was a GREAT day...meeting & making friends, getting to know one another better and a great time in meeting with our Savior.Due to the amount of pictures taken (over 400 this weekend) and the amount of time to upload, combined with the exhaustion level of this blogger, Day two & three will have to wait until either tomorrow AM (Friday) or Sunday after our return home from our second leg of camping this week!
