What a huge success!! After months of planning, weeks of preparation, the gathering of supplies and donations, and many meetings,volunteers poured into the Senior Center to set up and move what seemed an impossible amount of hay and supplies. By 4:30, we were in great shape, and a quick bite of pizza, last minute instructions and prayer set us off on a good start to host our 2nd annual Harvest Party for our community.
Our youth and many adults ran our booths, replenished candy, served refreshments and just enjoyed watching all the kids have so much fun. Face painting was a huge hit, as were many of the booths. Pumpkin races, golfing, darts, target shooting, ring toss, and the famous Cake Walk! Everyone left with more candy than most could carry. We had many kids say "No thanks, I have enough!" Smiles were evident and laughter was heard all through the senior center. All who participated had a great time and our community was blessed with a safe, warm and dry place for our kids and their families.
