Sherry Sanderbrink & Janet Glancy left Portland airport yesterday (Thursday) on their way to Uganda. Once in Seattle though, Sherry was delayed due to a credit card verification issue. She is still in Seattle, while the rest of the team flew on to Uganda, and were scheduled to arrive there today (Friday).
Follow along Sherry's journey of the last two days:
Uganda Journey
Well I am in Seattle Wa. Ran into a snaffoo here. The rest of the team is on there way to Uganda. I will be here until saturday, when I will continue on my journey. It was quit hectic this morning, well I didnt get to stay with the group. But God is in control and I know He has a plan. My suitcase is with Janet and I have hers, Big Airport mistake. So both of us will be glad to see our clothes on the 13th. Be praying for us. :)
Its a long road to Uganda
Day 2 In Seattle.
I will be flying out tomorrow. Was just thanking the Lord this morning for all the brothers and sister he brought across my path yesterday. I ran into a missionary couple with their sweet baby. They gave me some contact #s in case I needed help while in Seattle. Also prayed for me. And the lady at the help counter taking over a hour to help me and get me to a hotel. I am so thankful for Gods peace in my heart. Just feel real blessed this morning. I know the team is landing as I type I am praying for them. When I picked up my bags as you know I had Janets bag not mine. and I also had 6 other bags. The airline person just started unloading all Show mercy bags he or she could see. So be praying that I will successfully get it all there. Airline knows this was there problem , but will see what happens tomorrow. Will keep updated.
The Lord test the righteous. I was reading that this morning in Psalms. So those in Uganda without thier suitcases and me with them trying to get to Uganda what test. A small test , but none the less a test.
Sherry does fly out tomorrow at 12:45 from Seattle and will arrive in Uganda at 8:15 (Uganda Time) on the 13th. Pray that her flight is smooth, her trip to Uganda uneventful, and the extra luggage she has from the team makes it safely with her. Updates will be posted if the team has access to the internet. Please continue to keep this mission in prayer!
