This last 24 hours as been a day for our team to be spreading our wings. For most of us, it’s the first work in the mission field, the first trip to Israel, the first time this far away from our family, the first flight over the Atlantic, and for at least one of us, a first flight!
God’s grace and provisions have shown through for us, from as powerful as all of our team being blessed by meeting what we thought were tough monetary goals to safe flights, to the small details of travel mercies for more comfortable seating a few inches in knee area, and an empty seat next to you on long flights are huge!. The blessings he has showered on us just open the floodgates to what he has in store for us this next two weeks. Yes, we are tired travelers, we haven’t slept much since Friday morning when we all woke for this adventure…but still God has blessed us.
We know these blessings not only come from our Father, but from the awesome church family we have behind us. It has been evident to us from the start that those of us that were still there after the first two months of committing to this trip, were still the ones God had placed a strong desire on our hearts. We were the ones He blessed over and over as we pushed through fundraisers, letters, work and family schedules to bring us all to this place…traveling for over 16 hours since we stepped foot in Portland Airport and more than 24 since we left the church property, having an awesome sendoff with prayer over us as we were gathered to go.
Yes, we are tired, yes we are wishing we didn’t have one more flight to go after almost two flights, BUT, we are excited, we are blessed, and we are pushing through because we all know there are wonderful things in store for us. Praising God for his provisions, Praising God for our families and a church family that has been praying so heavy for us…..we are in awe and thank those of you who have been so faithful to us.
