What a turn out! Approximately 55 women showed up at Calvary Creekside for a wonderful dinner, a great message, and most of all, just awesome fellowship. It is such a blessing to us to have such a wonderful place to gather. The building is looking so incredible on the inside. Thanks to all those working to make this such a beautiful place....the outside however, check it out. Is this God's work, or what?!! Taken from inside, just out the window. What better place to worship??
The guys outdid themselves with a great meal, prepared, served, and cleaned up by our guys! We had chicken, pasta and an incredible salad!! They did a great job, deserve great kudos and to put it plainly "Thanks guys--for a night off!"
Troy led us in worship--always a great time, and thanks Troy for putting our hearts in the right place for the Word.
We had a guest speaker from Calvary Corvallis, Cindy Rogers. She is the secretary at Corvallis Calvary, better know as the "Office Mom", works in Women's leadership, and is an all around fun gal.We enjoyed getting to know her, visit with her, and enjoyed her teaching. The theme of the night was JOY--based on Isaiah 61--but can be summed up as "BLESSINGS". Cindy blessed each of us in some way. We laughed, learned and enjoyed our time with her, and our goal is to work on our 15 minute plans. Worry about nothing more than 15 minutes away. We lose our joy in life if we worry about tomorrow. We can each learn that we all have something to give each day. We can find joy in that! We will strive to find 10 things we are happy about if we struggle in finding joy in our lives. She conveyed to us that Joy is found in Praise. We can wear our "Praise Garment". Only we can choose to put it on, or cast it off. When we are depressed, or heavy hearted, we need to remember to put on our Praise Garment. Remember, Jesus doesn't see the bad in us, all Jesus sees is our beautiful garment!
Psalm 118:24 This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it. Something for us to remember.... before getting out of bed in the morning...speak this verse, and say "This is the day that the Lord has made; I will MY will to rejoice and be glad in it." If you take nothing else away from this night, remember the clogged drain of sin, and to always wash away those sins by asking for forgiveness. Be a fire hydrant for the Lord, not a clogged drain! Thank you Cindy for your words, you willingness, and your Love for our Lord. Most of all, thanks for sharing, and visiting with us. It was a Blessing to Us!
