From Diana McCurdy~
I received this from Michele this evening (July 24)after having talked with her this afternoon. I can joyfully report that she feels good and will probably go back to work on Monday. There is still the business of biopsy from the diaphragm pad. She is very upbeat and happy. As you will se at the end of this that she has much to do yet. Today she told me that she would be in charge of my 101 birthday! I too thank you all for your prayers and support and ask that you continue to keep her lifted up before the Lord.

Hi everyone.

God Bless You ALL!
Diana
From her daughter, Michelle
Thank You All

Hi everyone.
I'm sending this letter to everyone in my address book and will also add it to face book. There are so many emails and prayers and questions that I can't possibly answer them all right now. So please forward this to family and friends that I may not have addresses for. Thank you.
Some of you know and some of you may not. I have stage 3 ovarian cancer. I had surgery that included a total hysterectomy, cervix and a 10 centimeter tumor. It was taken out lapriscopically ( forgive my spelling errors I'm sure) which means I have two 1 inch scars only...yeah!The tumor had ruptured which means it spilled its dirty little cells all over my abdominal cavity...yuck! My surgeon and a specialist from Salt Lake searched my entire cavity for any signs of cancer plus removed 25 lymph nodes from 10 vital areas...colon, diaphragm spleen, pelvic wall, etc.. He removed anything that looked suspicious, It's called debulking of cells..
I had to wait 5 agonizing days to get the pathology report. Results....all suspicious areas proved positive for cancer...eeesh. Good news...all 25 lymph nodes proved negative..yeah! That means the chance of any cells escaping into my blood stream and setting up camp somewhere else in my body are pretty slim. With this diagnosis and my surgeons fine tuned hands and eyes I have an 80% cure rate Add my young (ah gee thanks) age and my good health and stubborn attitude raises that percentage even more.I meet with my Oncologist next week.
The surgeon tells me that I will have 6 rounds of Chemo. 1 round every 21 days. A friend tells me that 1 round means a week or so of killing the little buggars then rinsing me out. I will let you know more as I learn about it myself.I am most definitely going to lose my hair. But that's okay, I've been trying to go el natural for some time. Now I will get a fresh start :-) They tell me that It will probably grow back my birthright color. Either way it will be something new! :-)
I thank each and everyone of you soooo much for your thoughts and prayers. Please know that I am okay. I have family going through major health issues. I have friends going through the same thing. I have friends getting ready for other surgeries such as hernias and hip replacements. I have friends that have recently dropped dead or have suffered long painful deaths. I have friends that just lost their husbands and sisters. I have friends that will be crippled for life. I've lost my own son and my best friend dog in the past three years. What I'm going through is nothing compared to everyone else. I pray for them everyday as well as for myself.

Knowing all of you care about me and are praying for me is healing in itself. Thank you all so very very much. This is simply a test of faith...a test I'm going to pass.
