Berlin Blessing

The Big Secret is out.....

LCC is the proud owner of Berlin Community Church on Berlin Road.

To make a long story short, one of our Elders happened upon this property. After some inquires, some answers to questions, and lots of prayer, we were blessed to obtain the property from Berlin
Community Church for a very small debt that was owed against it. The biggest thing that was a concern to our church was not obtaining any debt. God was in control and His plan was perfectly orchestrated down to the fine tuning allowing us to pay cash to be free & clear. God is so good. Our Lord is so faithful. The events leading to this purchase are unbelievable, so unbelievable, that it can only be explained as a divine act of God, and a wonderful blessing to us from Berlin Community Church.

Pastor Tom has called this a "diamond in the rough"....so much potential is here at this small church, and we pray that we can use it to bless the Lord and his people.

Some History:

The church was built in 1939, and has housed numerous traveling pastors, as well as
seen many Sunday morning services. While there is much work to do here--the major things have been done. There is a new well, new well head, new pressure tank, a new septic and drain field as well as all new updated electrical throughout the building. The church sits on a little over an acre.

Dreams:

While we want to be sure that God leads us to what this is to be used for, here are
some of the dreams, thoughts and ideas. We will continue to give prayerful consideration over all that is decided upon, as we want to make sure to following God's will for this property. Please know that none of these ideas are set in stone. They are merely dreams and ideas in the beginning phases. Give prayerful consideration to these:

~Resort Type Setting
~Used for midweek services
~Youth Retreats
~Ladies Retreats
~Men's Dinners
~Summer Camp, day or overnight
~Cabins on the property

~Stone Fireplace inside
~Commercial Kitchen for dinners/food services

While these ideas are just that, ideas--we must be realistic and know that there is a lot of "underlying" work that must be done--such as foundation and structural work. We must also be cognizant in knowing that it will take funds to do this. We will
count on our Lord to provide when the time is right to move forward with projects.

Enjoy the slide shows. You may click on the slide or picture to go to the web page, and view them slower if you wish. The slide show below is pictures that were given to us by Berlin Community Church. We believe some are of the foundation laying, the feeding of the men during building or a possible picnic on the property, as well as some pictures of the church and congregation in the 40's.

As you view these pictures of old and current, please remember to keep this new property in your prayers, that we may continue to be blessed, and furthering God's work here at Lebanon Calvary Chapel.

Leadership Conference 2009

Equipping the Saints was the title of the Conference.......for those of us that went....we feel "Equipped" after this weekend! "Equipped and filled with Gods Love". I can't describe everyone's experience--but I believe everyone there was filled with the Holy Spirit, bundled in God's Love, and so in tune to Jesus! What a powerful conference.
We had awesome music & worship--followed by Don McClure on Friday Night with him speaking on the life of David. David was chosen by God because of his heart--God looks at our hearts, he meets us there. We closed on Friday with more wonderful worship.

Saturday began with breakfast bright & early at 8. We worshiped at 9AM and were partaking of more of the Word with Don McClure. At 10:30 we split into two groups, the Women heading to another church nearby for some "girl" time with Jean McClure. The men stayed at Calvary Chapel Corvallis, and continued study with Don. I can't speak for the guys--but we gals enjoyed our time with Jean, as she spoke on Abigail, who was Nagal's wife. She was a wise woman, and loved by God. Jean encouraged us to be wise women, following God. More powerful time in the Word.

We broke for lunch, and spent some fellowship time with our Lebanon Calvary Crew and shared pizza in downtown Corvallis. What a sweet & "filling" time!

Back to Calvary Chapel Corvallis for a wrap up for a wonderful weekend of the Word. It was a reviving, uplifting and some purely special time spent with our Lord. How sweet it was!

Special thanks to Corvallis Calvary Chapel for hosting....and for all those who made this time possible. What a blessing!
