Beauty at LCC

Things just keep getting prettier around LCC's property---

Thanks to all of those who have put in the hard work...

Youth Group Feast & Fun 06-27-09

Youth Group met on Saturday from 4-6:30, (No one was ready to leave at 6!) and had a feast of BBQ Chicken, salads, fruits and goodies. They had worship, hung out, played games, and had a water fight. Lots of fun...even some of the big guys had fun too!

The kids got a ball stuck in the trees, and the bigger guys helped them get it out. The success only happended when we got a rig over there to get it out! (We would have never done this with one of the kids...trained professional adults only--DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!)

Dillon, a bible and a bat....what a great combination!

03-23-12
Hello everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that Mel Walker is in the Lebanon Hospital. He's been having breathing issues and was getting worse everyday. Finally took him in last night and I'm glad I did! They are running him through a bunch of tests to see what's causing this. Please pray that God gives the doctors wisdom to find what is wrong with him. Thank you, Sonya
3-25-12--Please continue prayers for Mel as his condition has not improved. Please also keep Sonya in your prayers for strength and peace.

3-28-12 So here's a short update on my Mel...Diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease which there is no cure. Unfortunately, it is very progressive they're giving him major steroids and starting him on a Chemo-therapy drug. They're trying to get his oxygen requirement down to an amount that he can home and spend his days with the family.I appreciate all the prayers, visits, and love that we have received from our family and friends. It means so much to us. Thank you and God bless

3-30-12--PRAISE REPORT ON MEL--He was allowed to come home. As this is progressive, and he has no other health issues, has no pain, and has no critical issues that he needs to be hospitalized for, he is at home with Oxygen, and praying for God's will. Both Mel & Sonie stated that at this time they don't need anything, but promised to let us know if they did.

04-03-12--MEL would love Healthy Visitors to his home!! Please call ahead!

Please pray for our church, our School of Ministry, Cornerstone Cafe, as well as our leaders. Praying for God's blessings in each branch of our ministries. We have truly been blessed by each one of those in leadership.

Please pray for those members in our fellowship that are broken, hurting, sick, burdened, lost, heavy hearted, dealing with guilt, addiction, and those crying out for help, but yet not asking directly for help. Lord, we lift these people up to you...you are our Father, and know who needs Your Grace, Your Peace, Your Love, and the Comfort that only YOU can give. Please touch these people, let them feel Your love, and bless them with peace

Monday's Ball Game--Game 4 06-22-09

Monday night's game was a low attendance game, not only by fans, but players as well. The guys were counting off to make sure they had enough. As it turned out, it was OK...but they were sweating it for a few minutes!

LCC lost again, but it was a fun opposing team, and there were lots of fun things to watch. I'm just sorry I did not have a video camera when a player was running back & forth between 2nd & 3rd (not mentioning any names!!).

Come out to support our team...check the schedule here!

Youth Camp--Day Three--June 18th, 2009

Day three is a sad day, since it is only a partial day, as it is our last day. There are some early risers, and we start off with breakfast and have a leisurely morning, enjoying the new relationships that have grown over the last few days. It's been amazing to see the frienships that have formed, the way the kids & adults alike have gotten to know one another.

For those who slept in past Chad Time....got awakened by the pot & pan team of Chad & Troy, singing "Rise & Shine and Give God the Glory, Glory..." You all know it as the refrain from the Noah's Ark song... There were some funny reactions...mostly "head covering" reactions! But, everyone got up, and got to worship before it was time to pack up & go.

It was amazing to see the kids want to sing more praise songs--they just kept saying "One more song...one more...." until it was two, three & four songs more....Praise God!!

Thanks to all involved in making this time for the kids a great one. From those who organized, those who sponsored kids, those who took time from work to be there (and yes, to those guys who did not have jobs, and were totally free to go!), and to the parents for allowing the kids this opportunity to get to know the Lord.

So, yes, Rise & Shine & Give God the Glory....
